About
When I chose Grand Living Realty as my brokerage, it was because of their core values of honesty, integrity, and diligence. Choosing Flagler County wasn’t really a choice – it was just natural. After so many years of traveling and living all over the country and different parts of the world, I just wanted to come back home.
My family moved to Flagler County in 1978. Back then, there was a drawbridge to get into Flagler and a ferry to get to the Hammock. I lived here until I graduated high school, then started a lifelong journey of education and adventure. After graduating from the University of Florida, I hiked the Appalachian Trail, moved to San Francisco to study dance for a couple of years, and then rode my bicycle from Seattle, WA to Washington, DC as a way to get back home. I lived all over Florida, New York, India, and finally Los Angeles for 8 years, where I went to film school. Homesick again, I finally moved back to Flagler County.
I got certified in home staging, then had a baby, and then had an epiphany: for the first time in my traveling life, I needed a home. An actual house – of my own – for my child. And I realized I was going to do it through real estate – helping others and by default, helping myself.
At almost 5 years in, I had another epiphany: I was either going to be really good at my job, at helping people sell or buy their home, or I wasn’t going to do it at all. The world doesn’t need another Realtor; what people need is a really Good Realtor, one who will truly help them. If I couldn’t be this person, then I’d be doing a disservice when they could be working with one of the really great Realtors out there. My track record up to that point was excellent - I had only 5-Star reviews, I was constantly learning and taking classes, and I knew that I put full effort into each family, each contract and negotiation, each transaction. Still, I made a resolve to either be great at my job, or to go find something else to do that would actually be helpful and useful. What I can say is that I am still a Realtor; I am still giving full effort; I am still constantly learning, still successfully helping people buy and sell homes, and still receiving positive reviews. I’ve realized I’m especially adept at helping families and first-time homebuyers navigate the home-buying process and realize their dream of home ownership. This ability to help families and first-time homebuyers is uniquely satisfying and fulfilling, and it keeps me going through the roller-coaster ride that is real estate. The opportunity to actually help people, to be there for people, is the best part of my job. And for this, I am forever grateful and always honored when someone chooses me to help them in buying or selling their home.
